Here are your nominees for the Etihad Player of the Month for March 2022.

Talles Magno  

The Brazilian forward has started the campaign in mid-season form and found consistent early success in the Concacaf Champions League – registering three goals in five games. 

One of those strikes came in March’s meeting with Comunicaciones and helped NYCFC advance on aggregate. In MLS, Talles was a central figure during the Club’s 4-1 win against CF Montréal – registering a goal and an assist.  

A player with an abundance of potential to realize, his early form already has teammates and staff alike excited.  

Maxi Moralez  

The veteran playmaker shows no signs of slowing down after a memorable 2021 campaign in which he helped the team achieve its first-ever MLS Cup.  

A creative fulcrum in the final third, Moralez also added his name to the scoresheet in March with a memorable volley against Comunicaciones. A leader on the field, his play in the final third and hard running off the ball continue to be a major asset to the team.  

Alex Callens 

A key presence at the heart of the backline, Alex Callens has continued to grow at the start of the 2022 campaign.  

The defender has helped NYCFC navigate some tricky trips away in both MLS and Concacaf Champions League and provided a security at the back that allowed his teammates in the final third to shine.
